Diode and erbium lasers are both used in dentistry for various procedures due to their precision, versatility, and ability to minimize discomfort for patients. Each type of laser has specific applications in dental practice

Diode Laser in Dentistry ​

  • Soft Tissue Procedures: Diode lasers are primarily used for soft tissue treatments in dentistry. These include procedures such as:

    • Gingivectomy and gingivoplasty (gum contouring)

    • Frenectomy (removing the frenulum, e.g., for orthodontic purposes)

    • Treatment of oral lesions (e.g., aphthous ulcers)

    • Removal of hyperplastic tissue

  • Disinfection: Diode lasers can be used for photobiomodulation, which stimulates tissue repair and reduces inflammation. They can also help in disinfecting root canals during endodontic treatments.

  • Whitening: Diode lasers are used in teeth whitening procedures, where they activate the bleaching agent applied to the teeth

 Erbium Laser in Dentistry​

  • Hard Tissue Procedures: Erbium lasers are suitable for hard tissue applications in dentistry because they can effectively ablate dental tissues (enamel and dentin) without causing significant thermal damage. Some common procedures include:

    • Cavity preparation and tooth restoration

    • Removal of dental caries

    • Root canal disinfection and cleaning

  • Soft Tissue Procedures: Erbium lasers can also be used for soft tissue surgery, similar to diode lasers.

  • Implantology: Erbium lasers are utilized during dental implant procedures to prepare implant sites and promote osseointegration.

  • Periodontal Conditions: Erbium lasers can help with decontamination of periodontal pockets and with the treatment of peri-implantitis.

If you need to cancel your course registration, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to simmi.eda@gmail.com

CANCELLATION POLICY:

For cancellations of bookings up to 4 weeks before course date, you will receive a full refund minus 10% of the course fee for administration fees.

Any cancellations within the 4 weeks prior to the course date or failure to attend the course no refund will be provided.

In the event that Esthetic Dental Academy cancels a course due to unforeseen circumstances, the course will be rescheduled promptly, and you will be notified as such. Please note that Esthetic Dental Academy cannot be liable for any additional costs associated with this.

Please note that all refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during registration.
